Privacy Blu ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. We built this Chrome Extension specifically to keep your sensitive information safe. This policy explains what data we collect, our legal basis for processing it, and how your information is handled.

1. The Golden Rule: We Do Not See Your Screen

Privacy Blu processes all visual blurring locally on your device.

• We do not record, capture, or transmit your screen.
• We do not read, save, or transmit the text you blur (such as emails, API keys, or chat messages).
• We do not track your browsing history or monitor the websites you visit.

2. Data We Collect & Legal Basis for Processing

To provide our service and manage your subscription, we collect the bare minimum information required. Under privacy frameworks like the GDPR, our legal basis for this processing is the performance of our contract with you.

• Account Information: Your email address and a securely salted and hashed password.
• Subscription Data: Your active subscription tier (Free, Trial, or Pro).
• Extension Settings: Locally stored in your browser. Note: Chrome Sync may store these if enabled.
• Technical Log Data: Standard internet log information (IP address, browser type, timestamps) collected via Cloudflare for security and abuse prevention.

3. Third-Party Services & International Transfers

Privacy Blu operates globally using trusted third-party infrastructure:

• Cloudflare: Secure cloud hosting and API infrastructure.
• Lemon Squeezy: Our Merchant of Record. Handles all payments and billing.
• Resend: Used strictly for sending automated transactional emails.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• Automated Deletion: Permanently delete your account instantly from the settings menu inside the extension.
• Manual Deletion: Submit a request through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. We erase data within 7 business days.
• Retention: If an account is inactive for 24 months, we may delete it. We will notify you 30 days before.

5. Changes to This Policy

Significant changes will be notified via email or through an announcement inside the extension.
